Hi! Welcome to my homepages. I am a freelance translator and interpreter. I translate from English and French into Finnish, and also to some extent from Finnish into English and French. I translate most of all technical texts, in particular manuals for automobile industry.

I can offer high quality and accuracy in these language combinations thanks to my studies - I have studied naturally languages, but also in social sciences - and the professional experience I have gathered over the years.

I have worked as a fulltime translator and interpreter for 10 years. Before that, I taught English, French and Spanish in different educational institutions in Finland, e.g. polytechnics, college, and public and private language schools. My last job in this field was at the University of Tampere where I coordinated a special program in French and political science.

I have a PhD in general linguistics (a French degree), a postgraduate degree in French and an MA in English with minors in philosophy, sociology, social psychology, Spanish and pedagogy. I am an authorized translator in French into Finnish. (CV).

I have published a few linguistic articles and I have read some papers at international congresses. Here are two rather fresh publications of mine:
